The deal has been done…the analysts are left wondering what happened to the summer…and now is the time for the final party.
Don't get too excited chump. This party isn't for you. Analysts are not allowed to partake in these festivities as part of a "cost-cutting" measure. Also, have you looked at yourself lately? Please see some of my posts on the after effects of the Deal.
And try not to act too eager because the planning usually falls upon the most junior analyst or the disgruntled assistant. This is where the MD, VP and associate all participate in the game of rescheduling and rethinking vital elements of the evening, such as refreshments and music. This process of scheduling and rescheduling is basically repeated until the lowly analyst/assistant has lost all the will to live.
