7 Questions

Every week or so, the institution profiles a MD (If you are confusing this with medical doctor, shame on you for going straight to Quick and Dirty. Call me) and posts the “7 Questions” on their website, just so everyone can get a glimpse of genius at work...

What do you do at the bank? I spend a large percentage of my days on the phone with various other executives…I try to schedule as many golf days as I can…great business strategy! Also, I have many ‘Client lunches’[1]…Mostly, my job is to terrorize everyone that is beneath me.

How large is your team and what sectors do you cover? Frankly, I haven't done a headcount in a while…they get stuff done. I paid my dues…this is why I hired the others…whats-his-name and whats-her-face….

Are there any plans to expand into any other sectors? That depends on how it affects my typical day…if there is no change then yes...yes we would be very interested...i have some reservations if it affects my day though…unless I will have more clients to plan additional golf days...

How are the credit markets faring in the current climate, and what trends are developing? Trends? Its (insert some bankerism) out there…anyways, it is what it is after all.

How do you work with other functions at the bank? Sometimes, I have to pose for pictures for the paper...

What are your group's objectives for the next year? Probably should talk to whats-his-name about it…like I said..my goals are fairly simple…increase my own relaxation and reduce my personal stress…as long as the groups goals align, I am great.

What do you do outside of work for fun? This is a trick question right?

[1] Three hour lunches often involving alcohol, organized by MD to avoid being in the office. Clients can be considered to be anyone outside the firm.
